Natural Kidz Announces Ownership Change
Founder Sells Company to Long-time Employee

SAN DIEGO, November 22, 2013—Natural Kidz, providing an online resource for healthy, non-toxic products good for children and the planet, announced today that Samantha Prince is the company’s new owner. She acquired the business from Kathryn Cloward, who founded it in 2008 to offer families a reliable place to find budget-friendly items that foster an eco-conscious lifestyle.
Prince is an atypical entrepreneur, since she’s just 21 years old and is a senior English major at San Diego State University. However, she’s intimately familiar with the ins and outs of Natural Kidz, since she began working there as a sophomore in high school and has been right by Cloward’s side as the company has evolved and grown.

“Samantha has a conscientious work ethic and tremendous integrity,” Cloward said. “Since she knows the business inside and out, the transition has been seamless. I’m confident that her vibrant and fresh energy will create tremendous growth for Natural Kidz as the company continues to branch out in new and exciting ways.”

Prince feels fortunate to have Cloward as a mentor and she’s excited about building on Natural Kidz’s great foundation. She plans to add products to the already robust offering and initiate new marketing campaigns to introduce prospective customers to Natural Kidz.

“I never thought of myself as an entrepreneur, but this is an incredible opportunity and everything just worked out perfectly for me to be able to take advantage of it,” Prince said.

Cloward, a serial entrepreneur, will continue to support the company and Prince’s professional activities as she enhances her focus on new endeavors that will fall under her corporation, Kandon Unlimited, Inc., which is home to Kandon Publishing and Kathryn the Grape.
